Trip Overview
A late summer cycle through the winding waterways of the Norfolk Broads and Suffolk coast and heaths where you'll experience leisurecycling at it's best. This fabulous three-day tour is a largely traffic free tour where you'll discover the best of the the Norfolk Broads along canal-side paths and then ride through the sparsely populated Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Natural Beauty. The entire tour is mostly flat so it's perfect for the beginner-intermediate leisure cyclist.
DAY 1 Norwich Circular (45km)
A varied ride heading out on the Marriott’s Way cycle path before looping back on the Bure Valley path to Hoverton.
DAY 2 - Norwich to Great Yarmouth (65km)
We delve deep into the heart of the majestic Norfolk broads on back lanes and water-side paths to Great Yarmouth.
DAY 3 - Great Yarmouth to Saxmundham (64km)
Another day exploring the beauty of the Norfolk Broads initially along the Angler’s Way before heading to the coast. We will visit the likes of Benacre Nature Reserve and Dunwich Abbey and then head inland towards the finish at Saxmundham.
DAY 4 - Ipswich to Suffolk Coast & Heaths circular (52km)
A great circular route to finish the tour as we take in the best of the Suffolk coast, heathlands and forests. Head out from Ipswich, we will ride along the rivers Orwell and then Deben before reaching the coast. A short ferry ride and then we will loop back towards Ipswich through the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB.

Easy Adventure 2/5. This ride is graded as beginner-intermediate. The tour is suitable for the semi-regular rider with medium fitness.
Terrain and Elevation
25% of the ride is unpaved and 75% is on paved or asphalt surfaces. The tour is almost entirely flat thoughout.
Logistics
This tour begins in Norfolk and finishes in Ipswich. We recommend you catch the train to Norwich and from Ipswich to/from your destination. If you are driving you will need to park at Ipswich (location provided after booking) for the duration of the tour. Once dropping your car off in Ipswich you will need to catch the train to Norwich to start the tour. The tour will be point-to-point riding from Norwich to Great Yarmouth, Great Yarmouth to Saxmundham, then we catch the train to Ipswich before a circular trip on the final day. On the last day we will aim to arrive back at Ipswich at around 4:30pm. Please book a train that leaves Ipswich after 5pm on the last day. A luggage transfer will be provided for you on each day of the tour.
